About Us

Heartwell House is dedicated to providing service users with freedom, choice, independence, and personalized care, ensuring their utmost satisfaction. Our care home has been a foundation in providing essential mental health care for more than 20 years. Located in Leicester, our dedicated team offers excellent care for adults with mental health issues.

We understand that it can be difficult to entrust your loved one's care to someone else, and that feeling of worry and anxiety is completely normal. However, at Heartwell House, we go above and beyond to create personalised care plans that resemble the love and care you give at home. With our years of experience and sincere dedication to caregiving, our goal is to provide you with peace of mind and the opportunity to relax, knowing your loved one is in good hands.

Accreditations and Membership

Heartwell House is a part of East Midlands Care, an organisation that specialises in representing care providers in Rutland and Leicester City. We have registered with 'Social Care Commitments Quality People Quality Care' (The Social Care Commitment is the adult social care sector's promise to provide people who need care and support with high quality services.), 2016. After our most recent inspection, the assessor concluded:

“The objectives of care provision in a homely setting are well understood and delivered and the value of the team in meeting the high standards set is appreciated by the owner.”

Contracts and Registeration

Heartwell House is supervised regularly by the Care Quality Commission, which makes sure that strict rules and guidelines are followed. We are happy to announce that we received an overall score of ‘GOOD’ from the Care Quality Commission in our most recent evaluation. We have contracts with Local Authorities nationwide. We also work in partnership with NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit alongside Personalised Healthcare Commissioning. Below are a few examples of the local authorities we currently hold contracts with plus many more.

For qualitative professional support in Human Resources and Health and Safety, we have a contract with Peninsula. Frequent Assessments ensure that our service users continue to be cared for, to the highest standard.

The staff always know where I am, and I feel reassured. Although I struggle with some things, the staff at Heartwell House make sure I keep on top of my medication. The atmosphere here is very homely. We all have respect for one another and feel like part of a big family. In fact, I like it so much that I don’t want go back home – I’m so happy here.”
